1-2 - Help serve at Camp Horizon

7 - Woodcutting: 9:30 AM at the recycling center. (POC Gary Youngs)

8 -General Dinner Meeting: Induction new member - Program - Cheryn Weiser, Director Island Senior Services. She is working on a long-term mission, goals and plan to reach the needs of seniors on the island. She currently is doing outreach to determine what services are/will be needed in the future.

10 - Barn Sort Boyer Barn, 9 am (POC Gary Youngs)
- Memorial Garden Work Days:  0900-1130 at MD 19 HQ grounds 4141 W Maplewood Ave, Bellingham.

10-11-12 - Arts and Crafts Fair Help with vendor unload on Friday evening and Saturday morning; help with tear down on Sunday evening.

22- Board & General Dinner Meeting: Induction new member - Guest speaker, Robyn Myers Manager of Conference Services: short presentation on the Camp Casey Swim Program

29 - summer schedule- no meeting

Site prep work on the Ferry House outbuildings. Date: probably later this summer. National Park Rangers are preparing to restore the summer kitchen behind the Ferry House which will probably take place early next year. Volunteers are needed to help remove all the materials now piled in the structure, clear the blackberry and other vegetation nearby and possibly clear blackberries and brush down the old wagon trail.

- Harvest Fest Races with Shopping Spree ticket sale

26 - General Dinner Meeting, Program: Guest Speaker, Robert May-Don't Fall! Whidbey Health Lead Paramedic Robert May will explain the in-home improvements that will help reduce the incidence of falls as much as 85%. Yes, it starts with getting rid of ladders, but oh so much more can be done!

1 - Greening of Coupeville 4 pm. The historic buildings of Coupeville will all be dressed up in greens, white lights and red bows.  View the traditional Christmas parade - with of course Santa Claus at the end- from charming Front Street.  The Coupeville  Chamber of Commerce organizes the parade and caps off the evening with a tree lighting and weather permitting a boat parade in Penn Cove. We guarantee to bring smiles to young and old.
