PRESIDENT'S DECEMBER MESSAGE:

Fellow Coupeville Lions: As the nights grow longer and the days get shorter, we all are racing toward the holidays and the new year. Many of us have our days filled with shopping, wrapping, cleaning, decorating, and cooking.

Some of us will be entertaining; others traveling. The joys of the season brighten the evenings and giving brightens the heart. So, I’ve decided to take this time to ask for a few gifts of my own.

First on my list is to remember to thank all the members of this club who eagerly help with our many activities. When volunteers are requested the participation is overwhelming. Year after year our major fund raisers run like clockwork because seasoned “veterans” step up to the plate.

Second on my gift list is a wish that the friendliness of the members continues. I am so pleased that new members are warmly welcomed, and their participation is valued. The seasoned “veterans” can be seen taking one, two, or more newbies under their wing to insure programs continue running smoothly.

THINGS TO KNOW NOW

Email Deanna Rogers by December 5th for reservations and pay at the next meeting or at the door. (Payment is expected unless you cancel by December 5th.)
